Wood Shop Club Meeting

The 4th Wednesday of the month, MCHFH ReStore will host the Wood Shop Club. The club will meet to teach volunteers how to use tools in our wood shop located in our Donation Processing Center.
 
Each month the Wood Shop Club will meet and work with different tools to create items to sell in the ReStore. Most items will be repurposed items donated to the ReStore.
 
This is a great way to learn how to use power tools and the basics of wood working. If you would like to volunteer on a new construction site and would like more experience with the power tools we strongly suggest volunteering in the wood shop to get acquainted with the tools.
 
No experience necessary to volunteer. Just RSVP online for the club meeting you would like to attend:

1/22 – Creating wooden hearts out of reclaimed pallet wood
2/26 – Building wooden eggs and bunnies out of reclaimed pallet wood and trim
3/25 – Building planter boxes from reclaimed pallet wood
4/22 – Creating wooden feathers for wall decoration
5/27 – Building wooden stars for wall decoration from reclaimed pallet wood
6/24 – Building wooden serving trays
7/22 – NO Club Meeting This Month
8/26 – Wooden wine rack from reclaimed pallet wood
9/23 – Candy corn yard signs from reclaimed pallet wood
10/28 – Message board/ Christmas Card hanger
11/25 – Christmas tree yard signs build with reclaimed pallet wood
12/23 – NO Club Meeting This Month
 
The club meets at the MCHFH Donation Processing Center (DPC) located at 2300 E Gordonville Road, Midland, MI 48640. Be sure to put the E for East in with the address or GPS takes you to the wrong end of Gordonville.
 
If you are coming from Midland, the easiest directions to the DPC is take Posseyville Road toward Gordonville Road (Messiah Lutheran Church will be on your right hand side). Turn right onto Gordonville road and follow for approximately 1 mile. The DPC building will be on your left hand side of the road.
