Midland County Habitat for Humanity Announces Board Changes

Midland County Habitat for Humanity (MCHFH) would like to extend a thank you to Gerri Reado for her years of service on the Board of Directors.  Gerri served as an integral member of the board since 2009, and has termed off the board.  She started by volunteering as a Family Advocate, and served as a member of the board, Secretary, Vice President, President and Past President.  She plans to continue volunteering on the Family Selection Committee with MCHFH.  Gerri graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Chemistry from Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana.  She is originally from Houston Texas and began her career at BF Goodrich and recently retired from Dow.  In her free time she enjoys golfing, sightseeing, museums, and volunteering in the community.

MCHFH is excited to announce two new members to the Board of Directors.  Rev. Wallace H. Mayton, III and Ryan Stachowiak will be joining the board.

Ryan Stachowiak is an Audit Senior Manager at Deloitte & Touche.  Ryan has been with Deloitte & Touche since 2017 when he started as an Audit Manager and was promoted to Audit Senior Manager in 2018.  In his current role he assists clients with complex tax issues, performs audits and attests work for clients as well as consult clients on the accounting implications of various transactions.  Prior to working at Deloitte & Touche he was a Tax Manager at Deloitte and a Senior Tax Staff at Ernst and Young LLP, Toronto.  Ryan Graduated from Northwood University with a Bachelor, Business Administration; Accounting & Management in 2008.  Ryan has previously volunteered with United Way as a financial advisor reviewing of not-for-profit financials and has served on the MCHFH finance committee for the last two years.  In his free time he enjoys playing golf, coaching little league, being outside fishing, biking, running, and spending time with his family.  He has three children with his wife Kayleigh and they reside in the Midland area.

 

The Rev. Dr. Wallace H. Mayton III, “Wally,” was ordained in 1975, after graduation from Rhodes College (B.A.) in Memphis, Louisville Presbyterian Seminary (M.Div) and the University of Notre Dame (M.A.). Wally has served pastorates in Memphis, Tennessee; Anderson, South Carolina; and Overland Park, Kansas. He has served the Memorial Presbyterian Church congregation since 1989. Wally has been recognized by Northwood University with the honorary Doctor of Laws degree; by Midland Area Community Foundation with its Giving Tree Award and its Philanthropist of the Year recognition; by Leadership Midland Alumni Association with its Leader of the Year award; and by serving on multiple community boards in ministry in outreach and community engagement.  Wally and his wife Lindsay have 5 daughters and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
