Making progress on Humanity Street: June construction update
We’re continuing to make steady progress on the Humanity Street Neighborhood Development, with several major infrastructure milestones reached during June.
Over the past month, contractors completed significant utility and stormwater improvements throughout the site, bringing us another step closer to future home construction. While much of this work happens below ground, it provides the foundation needed to support the neighborhood for decades to come.
Infrastructure and utility improvements

June’s work focused on completing the underground infrastructure that will serve future homes within the development.
During the month, crews completed sanitary sewer service installations along Dauer Street and throughout the development. Water main installation and water service connections also advanced substantially, including the final connection to the existing water system at the Shreeve Street and Dauer Street intersection.
Stormwater infrastructure also saw significant progress. Contractors completed major sections of storm sewer installation, including storm sewer lines, catch basins, and supporting drainage infrastructure throughout the site. By late June, all planned storm sewer work had been completed.
With the completion of water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure, one of the largest phases of site development is now behind us.
Site preparation and visible progress

In addition to underground utility work, crews began grading and final site preparation activities across the development.
Contractors restored disturbed areas, began placing topsoil in portions of the site, as well as completing grading around future home sites, and preparing Humanity Street for future roadway construction.
These improvements are helping further define the future layout of the neighborhood while preparing the site for.
Coordination with partners
This work continues to be completed in close coordination with the City of Midland, utility providers, and Pat’s Gradall.
We remain grateful for the collaboration that is helping turn recovery into renewal through this development.
Looking ahead
Looking ahead, work will continue on final site grading, roadway installation, and utility coordination to complete the infrastructure for future neighborhood development.
With major underground infrastructure now complete, the project is entering an exciting new phase as the site continues to take shape and preparations continue for future home construction.
As always, we remain committed to keeping neighbors, partners, and community members informed as work progresses.
