Habitat for Humanity U.S offices hosts Habitat on the Hill annually in Washington DC. Midland County Habitat for Humanity’s CEO Jennifer Chappel, along with Grant Murschel, Director of Planning and Community Development for the City of Midland, traveled to Washington DC the week of February 11, 2019 to present the 2018 Midland County Housing Needs and Market Assessment to Habitat colleagues from across the country.
Housing Study Background: Midland County Habitat for Humanity, in collaboration with Home to Stay, United Way of Midland County and City of Midland Planning Department worked with czb consultants out of Alexandria, VA to conduct a Housing Needs and Market Assessment of Midland County. The goal of the study was to determine current and future demand for various housing types, the quality and adaptability of existing housing supply, and the needs of various demographic groups and community stakeholders.
